Hello, beautiful! Happy Friday! I hope all is well. As I'm sure you've seen on social media I've had a difficult time coming back to reality after my long weekend for my bestie's bachelorette party in Portland, Maine. We had so much fun! I'll be posting about it soon. In other exciting news I was interviewed by Boston Voyager Magazine! They named me one of their trailblazers. I can't believe someone thought I was interesting enough for that haha anyway you can check that HERE !
Anyway let's bring it back, shall we? So I am totally obsessed with sets & as the seasons go on I feel like I see them more & more. Gigi why are you so obsessed with sets? Well babe you can wear the set together OR make THREE entirely different outfits with it. Literally, how cool?! Which means your cost per wear will go down! (cost per wear= the retail $/times worn) I truly believe your wardrobe should be built on items that are versatile & that can be mixed & matched.
Let's break down what I have pictured. This set I got from Target. At first I just bought the skirt & was trying to find a crop top to go with it to bring to the conference in NC I attended in April. Well couldn't find one I liked in a crunch so I did what anyone would do in a styling slump, see what Target outfitted it with. That is when I discovered the matching top! A beautiful marriage of gingham. I think the set looks super cute together with a heeled sandal for a dressier affair or can also be dressed down.
I took the skirt for my next look & styled it with a basic black tee which I tied in a knot for a crop top effect. I paired this look with my favorite denim jacket & black chuck taylors. This look is great for a casual Friday (depending on how lax your office is) or weekend adventuring.
I broke the top out by pairing it with jeans & wedges. This look is perfect for summer dinner or drinks on a patio or roof top.
I hope this post has helped illustrate for you how valuable & versatile a set truly can be. Alright babes, I'm signing off. Talk soon!
