This Belmont, MA native created her wedding planning business 10 years ago. Her experience in the industry begun several years prior to starting her own business. 13 years ago Andy was a freelance make up artist for Bobbi Brown & Tarte Cosmetics. As she begun doing make up for weddings her love for the industry flourished. After 3 years of cosmetics she felt like she maximized herself & wanted to begin her next venture, wedding planning. With 2 little ones at home she already had a demanding schedule so what better way to take care of her home front & peruse her career than start her own business. She researched & spoke with industry professionals which introduced her to the next steps. Fast forward to the current state of Elegance & Grace Weddings, Andy has many achievements accomplished to show the success of her business. She has won Best of Boston, Boston A List Wedding Wire Rated, along with many more. Andy has been planning luxury weddings & bringing an amazing experience to her clients which is more than a service. She has had the opportunity to meet & work with wonderful people in the industry. She has been able to travel & even met Preston Bailey, celebrity wedding designer. Her portfolio also includes work styling shoots with national brands such as UGG & Nordstrom that have been featured in national editorials & blogs. Throughout her work she quickly has realized that the multi billion dollar industry of weddings has been saturated with individuals that want to get involved but are not sure how about doing so. Andy has made it one of her missions to help educated wedding industry hopefuls.
Andy's educating journey started 2 years ago at the QC Event School Online. She taught students from all over the world which was an incredible experience for her increasing her interest in education. As she had begun to speak more at colleges & was invited to advocate for the future of the industry she realized the lack of wedding education wedding industry hopefuls were craving to get land industry jobs. She stepped up & begun working with 30 different schools to elevate the wedding planning education to make it more than just hospitality based. Andy felt that it was important to get in front of these industry hopefuls & give them tools to achieve success. How she was going to accomplish this weighed on her. She had been doing some coaching & realized that there needed to be more of this. Thus the birth of the Elite Workshop in 2015.
Andy's goal for the Elite workshop is to provide attendees with actionable steps to further their career & knowledge of the wedding industry. She wants to inspire & teach. Andy has called on industry professionals & non industry professionals to help facilitate these workshops. These workshops have become more than just strictly wedding industry based learning, they have become an opportunity to network & build a tribe that you can trust. Andy hopes to connect hopefuls to mentors that will help pave a path to a successful career. After a year of personal & professional development Andy decided to open the Elite Workshop to anyone who desired to build their tribe, not exclusively to wedding industry.
The next Elite Workshop is this November Sunday the 13th. The main focus will be weddings but the event will also touch upon life, balance, protection of your brand, & so much more. Educating the professionals & hopefuls on how to be happier in their business or careers has been Andy's main goal.
