Hello, beautiful! Happy Friday! I hope this week has treated you well. I have one of my bestie's weddings this weekend & I can't wait to be able to stand next to her on her big day. The same friend inspired my to buy my first pair of overalls since my childhood. My second job in high school was as a sales associate at Oshkosh B'Gosh, you know the kids clothing store? Overalls were in high demand during my time there. Now they are one of the hottest trends for adults coming in overall skirts, pants, or shorts (pictured). Keep scrolling to see more details.
I love the overall shorts. I think they are a fun spring/summer trend. Easy for the weekend or to throw on over your bathing suit when you hit the beach for the day. This particular one piece I got from Macy's online, they literally only had once size left. My friend got hers from the GAP outlet.
For a fun yet casual look I have outfitted my overalls with a crop top, espadrille wedges, & a choker. No weekend warrior outfit is complete without a coffee in hand. In this outfit I feel like 90's grundge meets a hint of girl next door.
Maybe this trend isn't for you or maybe you want to give it a shot but are hesitant. If that is you I would suggest maybe starting out with the overall skirt. I feel like that is a smoother transition. Like dresses or jumpsuits overalls are a great throw & go instant outfit. Life can be crazy so simplicity is our friend.
