Hello, beautiful! Happy Friday! I hope your week has been super productive. I'm not going to lie to you I am super pumped about the long weekend. If you have been following along you know that I am an assistant buyer for Chadwicks of Boston. Not only are we wrapping up the winter/holiday 2017 season we have begun planning for spring/summer 2018 if you can believe that.
Anyway let's get to the real reason why we are here, the fashion.
Buttons up! (Haha see what I did there) Button front skirts have been a trend first seen in the fall & continuing into the warmer months. During the fall/winter we saw faux suede mini skirts with snap buttons. For the spring/summer I am seeing them in denim & other lighter fabrications.
I actually got this skirt about 7 years ago when I stepped into my first Zara. Which was not actually in the USA but Lisbon, Portugal. This skirt has been a spring/summer staple in my wardrobe. Typing this I honestly can't even believe I've had it for that long.
Completing this look is a ruffle knit tank, braided pink belt, & sky high wedges. The tank I actually got from the boutique I once managed, Daisy Riley in Plymouth, MA. The belt I believe I also got at Zara, I have wrapped the excess belt preventing it from flopping all over the place. And the shoes I got from DSW. I particularly love this skirt because it has pockets.
Not only will you be able to find the button front treatment on skirts but on dresses as well. It is a lovely spring/summer trend. How will you be wearing it?
