Getting FOMO from waiting until July 20th for the Nsale?! Yeah, I was too.
Hi Boos, it’s me Jill again! Today we’re talking the Nordstrom sale, right now is exclusive pre-sale for cardholders and public sale begins July 20th! I have never taken an interest in Nordstrom until this past year as I’ve gotten older and realized the diversity of product that they carry (I also won’t lie I thought it was for an older crowd). Hence the reason I’m just finding out about this amazing sale a week before it started. I tried my hardest not to look because I wasn’t a Nordstrom cardholder, but the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) became real when my Instagram feed became flooded with amazing deals on the cutest fall clothes. I caved and signed up for the Nordstrom card (on the day that the website crashed so I lucked out with all those bonus points too) and I’m so happy I did! I wanted to share my first-time experience shopping this sale since I know how overwhelmed I was with good deals, and it can be intimidating especially if you’re not an avid shopper and show you guys what I picked up!
When I first got to Nordstrom I had no idea what to expect. I didn’t know how they would differentiate sale items from non-sale items but was glad to see everything roped off, so I could shop a bit easier. My number one tip for shopping the sale would have to be to make a list online first of things that you want if you’re going to go to the store. I know that if I had looked there first I wouldn’t have missed some of the things that I did. Of course, you can just order online or pick up in store but I’m a brick and mortar kind of gal. When I got home I saw things online that I had seen in store and forgot to grab.
After really doing a thorough browse of the entire store I then went back to each section to try some items on and work with the girl who was helping me shop. She was super sweet and that always makes my experience awesome. After shopping around together, she was suggesting product that I was obsessed with, but I had to reel it in. If I could have I would have gotten the Tory Burch Marsden OTK boots (originally $578 and on sale for $349.90!!!) and the AGL Smoking Slipper (originally $350 on sale for $229.90). I had to keep it simple this time around and got a couple of staple sweaters and ended up getting a Marc Jacobs bag that was not included in the sale but has a ton of interchangeable straps you can purchase for it which makes it so fun and versatile! Two of the items I purchased have already sold out online which makes me super glad I signed up for the card because they are too cute! Hopefully they will restock for those of you that are going to shop public sale. I earned a ton of points with my purchase and am excited to have this jump-start on my fall wardrobe. This is the best sale shopping experience I’ve ever had and has made my love for Nordstrom that much stronger. I have a feeling my new card is going to get a lot of use this year and am so not mad about it. Whether you have the card or not this is a sale you don’t want to miss, and I couldn’t recommend what I got enough! Although I’m quite content with summertime and want to hold onto it a little bit longer I am very excited about my new items!
Thank you for reading about my first Nordstrom Sale experience (and certainly not my last)!
Until next time,
Jill
