Hello loves! I hope you’re staying warm in this winter weather, and just know if you’re reading this somewhere warm…I envy you!
Throughout winter it is extremely hard to stay warm and also still stay fashionable. Finding a coat that is both stylish and cozy can be pretty difficult to find, due to the fact that most coats are bulky and hide the outfit you’re wearing. So, with that being said I am bringing to you this season’s hottest coat trend, the “teddy bear” coat.
When I first saw this teddy coat, I absolutely fell in love with it. I had been looking everywhere for a teddy coat and was having a lot of trouble finding one that I loved. This coat is from Gap and it is also considered a bomber, so it gives a little bit of a structured, yet still relaxed fit…not to mention it’s super warm!
There are so many different ways to style a teddy coat but for this specific look, I opted for a little more of a chic look with a fun print. Teddy bear coats are usually neutral colors, ranging from all different shades of creams to tans, but there are some brands that sell them in other colors as well! I prefer a neutral color because I like to incorporate different prints and pops of colors into my already very simple outfits, just to spice it up. I paired this cream color teddy coat with a cheetah print mock neck top, some basic black jeans and over the knee black boots. It’s definitely easy to dress a teddy coat more casual because it’s meant for giving a cozy look, but when styling this coat for going out or to an event, pairing with a fun print and bright color bag makes the outfit more “going out” ready!
So, when styling a teddy bear coat, try out a fun print! A fun print can really add some extra style when it comes to creating a teddy bear coat look. A cheetah print is always my go to because the colors in a cheetah print pattern really compliment the color of this coat. Adding thigh high boots can also add to the “I want to feel chic but also stay warm” look that I’m sure we are ALL aiming for this winter. For a pop of color, I think red goes extremely well with cheetah print or a neutral color teddy coat, but that all depends on your personal preference. Styling with any solid color will surely add the pop that you are aiming for! I know for some people a print and a pop of color can be a lot and maybe a little out of your comfort zone, but if you create a good balance between the two, it will turn out to be a phenomenal look! I cannot stress enough how cozy this coat is, along with how fun it is to style in the way you feel most comfortable.
With all of this being said loves, I hope this encourages you to indulge in the trend of teddy coats, and also spice the look up in all different ways! Teddy coats are so versatile, so you can really style a teddy coat piece in whatever way your heart desires and I am positive all of your looks will turn out so fun and stylish!
