Hello, beauties! Happy Friday!! I hope your week was amazing! As you know I'm still on cloud 9 from the Style Collective conference. It's just natural when you go away to do some shopping. I picked up these super cute overalls from Gypsy Jule which was one of our stops on our farewell trolley tour of downtown Raleigh. Where my shorties at?!
My #1 proven short girl life hack is to find a good tailor. Literally I'm obsessed with these overalls but haven't had a chance to take them to a tailor, note the knot wear the straps are "adjustable". Fake it till you make it, am I right?! I mean it's useful for anyone to have a good tailor really. When your clothing fits correctly it looks better. When your clothing fits properly you exude more confidence. Short sistas we typically have a hard time with pants & sleeves on top they are generally too long. A tailor can help a girl out by taking them up. Maybe you've lost weight & need to have your clothes taken in. It could be the bust is too big & you need that adjusted. I say this meaning they need to fit YOU because you are fabulous! There is no perfect size other than size beautiful. Brands & factories all aren't created equal. To be honest I have anything from a size 2-8 in my closet because of the simple fact that everyone's specs are different. I've said this before & I'll say this again. DO NOT get hung up on the numerical or alpha sizing on your clothing, if you do just take some scissors & do yourself a favor by cutting out those tags.
Well I hope you found that little piece of advice helpful, now lets break down this look. You may remember my overalls from last year & if you don't get a refresher here. They were a cute little denim shorts little pair. But I've seen the pant overall for transitional dressing & I'm totally obsessed. When I spotted these bad boys at Gypsy Jule I had to have them. I paired them with an off the shoulder top, my avocado espadrilles which I'm equally obsessed with, & these sunnies which I got from SCCON18. If you know me you know I'm obsessed with avocados well I spotted these shoes at Soludos last year. Me not caring whether or not something was last season was on the hunt for them this year. They were sold out on their website so I found them on amazon, same price & everything. They were also available on Zappos. I couldn't exactly tell you why I got them off of amazon opposed to zappos maybe it was the prime shipping because I have been dreaming of these shoes. They will be perfect for our trip to Portugal.
